Alpine Scramble - Esmeralda Peaks
The west peak of Esmerelda Peaks is a moderately strenuous and technical rock-snow or rock scramble, with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Multiple routes including loops are possible for approaching this Teanaway peak, all about 8 miles. The serpentine barrens are of interest both geologically and for the unusual flora.
