Alpine Scramble - Esmeralda Peaks

One of the Teanaway Peaks, the west peak of Esmeralda Peaks is a moderately strenuous and technical rock scramble, with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. A traverse to the East Peaks may provide an even more interesting loop trip.

  • Technical 3, Strenuous 3
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft

Join us for song and libations at the Beverly Creek Campground, where you camped for Seattle's Experience FT, on Saturday evening, OR just meet in the De Roux Campground, near the end of the North Fork Teanaway Road, FS 9737, at 8:00 AM.  De Roux is  about 4 miles further up the road from the Beverly CG.

The twin west peaks are our primary goal, but if the group agrees, we can traverse an additional 1.2 miles of rocky scramble terrain along the ridge to the multiple lower eastern peaks before descending back to De Roux.
Pace - on the slower end of Moderate. It's a good trip!

I'll email final details and a PDF map to participants prior to the trip.
