A strenuous and beautiful snow scramble traverse (~17 miles/~5000') that ascends Hurricane Hill using the lush and verdant Little River trail, and descends the Elwha to Hurricane Hill trail.  Listed as a scramble due to the persistent snows on the higher portions of the Little River trail, Hurricane Hill, and the Elwha/Hurricane Hill trail. Attendees should plan on stopping for dinner on the way home due to a late return by ferry.  The trip might be a few miles shorter if road repairs between the Madison Falls parking area and the Elwha Ranger Station are carried out more expeditiously than usual.  Photos from past trips can be seen here.
