Wilburton Park & Ride (Bellevue), 5:45am. (Or Mowich Lake parking area in Mt Rainier NP, 7:45am.)
Strenuous double scramble of 2 volcanic cones on the N side of Mt Rainier.
Participants should have excellent physical conditioning and endurance, and comfort with steep exposure.
Trip is dependent on Mowich Lake Road being open.
Observation Rock will be a snow scramble; Echo Rock will be a rock scramble.
Echo Rock has very loose rock - helmets required.
Leader may pre-select up to 3 Everett Scrambling students prior to opening.
