Beautiful hike-scramble through Spray Park and beyond, while enjoying dramatic views of Mount Rainier with a true rock scramble to Echo Peak. And since we will be in the neighborhood, bag Ob Rock too.

7:30am Mowich Lake 2nd TH (Knapsack Pass)....... minutes before car parking crunch.

Leader's notes

Mountaineers website states elevation gain is 3,800'.

A mountaineer's trip report says 4,500', but GAIA stats are often variable (questionable when 3 phone tracks have 3 different measures of miles & gain).

I entered 4,200' in post so folks can better plan on their conditioning & sign-up parameters. If elevation is less, I know my legs won't complain.
