We will enjoy a slightly gentler than moderate pace, taking time both to botanize and practice both snow and navigation skills, so this is a trip open to scramble students who have already completed the snow field trip.  We will first follow the ridge, likely involving some sidehilling, brush bashing, navigation, and snow, to the summit of DeRoux Peak.  Hopefully, we will also find a snow slope appropriate for practicing ice axe skills.  Depending on time and energy, we may also tag on Koppen Peak, on the same ridge.  If successful with both summits, participants will have scrambled 2 of the Teanaway 20 peaks by the end of the day.

Experienced scramblers, whether current leaders or not, are welcome to inquire about assistant leader status.
