  • Mileage: 6.0 mi

Alpental / Snow Lake TH parking lot ready to go at 5:00pm. NW Forest Pass required.

When requesting permission, give me an example of a ski tour within the last year. Let me know your uphill mode of travel (AT skis, splitboard, snowshoes).

Ice axe and helmet required.

The chimney at top and the move to get out of it can sometimes give me the heebie jeebies. Neither are actually that difficult though, and they should be well within a scramble or climbing grad's wheelhouse. I will bring approach shoes or mountaineering boots for the rock portion at the top.

If we scoot up and down quickly we can make it down before it gets too dark, but we'll probably need a headlamp.
