Meeting time: please arrive in time to be ready to start hiking by 7:00 am.  Travel time from Seattle, approx. 2 hours.  It is paved road all the way, but there is a 35 mph speed limit on the County/FS road past Granite Falls, with some small townships enforcing an even lower limit.

Ice axes, crampons, or other traction devices should not be required, but some folks may wish to bring ice axes in case they desire to glissade or plunge-step on a few remaining high snow patches.

Folks may wish to pack their mountaineering boots until we go off-trail and wear runners or approach shoes for the lengthy trail stretches.
