Alpine Scramble - Cushman Crest

This will be a one-way trip with a short car shuttle. We will ascend through Van Trump Park, descending to Cushman Crest and down near the Nisqually Bridge; mileage and elevation gain will depend on route choice by group consensus.

Puyallup South Hill Park and Ride 6:30 a.m.

This trip will not be climbing any of the Rainier 100 peaks, and is not eligible for student credit, so I am limiting it to scramble and basic grads.  Leader has not done this full route, and with the current snow pack there may be unforeseen challenges such as undermined snow bridges over creeks.  We will eschew the Wilson Glacier portion of this route, ascending Cushman Crest, and if conditions allow descending past Comet Falls.

Covid vaccination required due to car shuttle.
