Alpine Scramble - Crescent Mountain
This is a long scramble. To get it done we will have to ride bikes into Ipsut Campground. We will try to combine this with Tyee.

Meet at the Carbon River entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Arrive by 6:30 am with the intent of leaving by 7:00 am.
For the cycling leg your bike should be a mountain bike, a cyclocross bike or maybe some sort of hybrid. A road bike will not be very suitable. I recommend you have at least 32 mm wide tires and bring spare tubes and a pump. A light might also be handy in case we have to ride in the dark.
The bike portion is about 5 miles each way; the hike/scramble portion, i.e., round trip from Ipsut Campground, will be about 16 miles if we do both Tyee and Crescent.
The most technical portion of this scramble is the snow slope up to the ridge on Crescent.
