5 AM: Meet up at Tukwila Park and Ride (13445 Interurban Ave S, Tukwila, WA 98168)
This is a picturesque snow scramble in Mount Rainier National Park. The pace on the scramble will be moderate, with a focus on keeping everyone together.
A detailed planning email will be sent out a few days before the scramble.

- National Parks pass (if driving)
- 10 essentials
- 2-3 liters of water and plenty of food
- Ice Axe
- Helmet
- Mountaineering boots
- Extra clothing (please use the 2016 Alpine Scrambling Course guide for reference as to what layers to bring if this is your first scramble)
- Emergency seat harness
- Traction (Microspikes, crampons, yak tracks, etc. I'll be bringing Microspikes, personally. Please let me know if you don't have any traction options; I may be able to lend you a pair)
- Pants appropriate for glissading (or an extra garbage bag to protect pants from wear and tear)
- Snowshoes (please let me know if you do not have these; I may be able to lend you a pair)
