7:30 AM at North Bend
Consolidate riders in/near North Bend and drive 2.75 hours to Stewart Lake trailhead. Hike the 4 miles and 2200ft gain to Colchuck Lake and make camp along the west shore. Start from camp at 5:00am and ascend Colchuck glacier to col between Colchuck and Dragontail (2.5miles; 2500ft gain). Ascend Colchuck (.3 miles, 700ft gain), return to the col and ascend Dragontail (.5 miles, 850 ft gain). Return to camp via Aasgard Pass trail. Most likely, camping will be on snow. Groupgear includes tent, stove, cook pot, waterfilter. Personal gear includes 10 essentials, snowshoes, crampons, helmet, ice ax, hastyharness and locking biner and overnight gear. When you contact me, please include recent scrambles and conditioners you've been on as well as group gear you are willing to bring. Trekking poles recommended but not required. No students on this trip, please.
