5:30 PM at Issaquah Transit Center Friday eve
Colchuck Glacier Route- This will be a long strenuous day with 5300 feet of elevation gain. Participants need to have previous experience with climbs rated S5, T4 or T5. There will be some 30 degree glacier slopes so participants will need to have experience with crampons. Required gear: helmet, crampons, ice ax, hasty harness, and 10 essentials. Bug spray is recommended. Please send me info on mountains that you have climbed meeting the above experience. Meeting place will be the Issaquah Transit Center 1050 17th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027 Aug 2nd Friday Eve 5:30. We will drive to Stuart Lake trailhead 2.5 hours (off Icicle creek road Leavenworth) and sleep there. We’ll begin hiking the next morning at 5:30. The tip will likely take more than 12 hours.
