9:00 AM at Mowich Lake
Overflow trip for same trip on June 4. This trip will start from Mowich Lake and traverse to First Mother, Castle Peak and back to Mowich. Just increased trip capacity to 9 to invite overflow signups. Snow conditions are uncertain as of 30 July 2012, so please bring 10 ess., ice ax, hard hat, crampons, gaitors, safety harness kit (16' of webbing, prussik loop rope, and a carabiner) and optionally treking poles. Lets meet at Mowich lake 9:00 am. I'll drive my dark blue Toyota pickup with black canopy. Cell phone 206-353-3778. Home phone 253-631-4004. Route: Mowich Lake ranger cabin, to knapsack Pass to 1st Mother (6480') to Castle Peak (6110')to Wonderland trail at North end of Mowich Lake to parking area. Estimating 5 miles, 6 hrs, 2400' gain.
