Alpine Scramble - Camp Muir & Anvil Rock

Let's get some altitude! Priority to our Peru hikers and Kitsap scramble class.

  • Elevation Gain: 4,800 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 10,200 ft
  • Pace: 1000ft/Hr

TBD: if the gate to Paradise is open 24 hours by then we will meet early in the morning at paradise. If the gate is not yet open 24 hours we will meet the night before and camp in the overnight parking lot.

We will get to Camp Muir then, if conditions permit, hike to the top of Muir Peak above the shelter. On the way down, we will do Anvil Rock.  

This is a long, challenging day, mostly due to the elevation, but also possibly due to weather changes and navigation issues.  Ice ax and crampons may be required.

Proof of vaccination required.
