Alpine Scramble - Camp Muir & Anvil Rock
Mount Rainier may be a technical, world-class peak, but you don’t have to be a mountaineer to experience it. This challenging climbs ascends 4164 ft / 1269 m to an elevation of 9589 ft / 2923 m above the Muir Snowfield with a round trip mileage of about 8 miles. Note: this trip is not going to Camp Muir.

Tentative Schedule
Meeting/carpooling at the 512 Park and Ride at 6:00 am.
Meeting/carpooling at the Longmire parking lot at 8:00 am.
Start from Paradise parking lot by 9:00 am.
Summit about 1:00 pm.
Return to Paradise parking lot about 4:00 pm.
Preference for this climb is given to participants for the Mt Adams climb on July 8 thru 10.
