The weather looks favorable. There’s still a potential for dry thunderstorms, but we won’t have to watch for them through a blanket of choking smoke as would be the case east of the Cascade crest.
Bring helmet, ice axe and protected downclimb gear (diaper harness, locking carabiner and Klemheist loop).
Driving Directions
Take SR-410 eastward from Enumclaw, then south past Greenwater and the Crystal Mt turnoff into MRNP to the Sunrise Park/White River Road. Continue 3.6 miles on the Sunrise Park/White River Road to the Owyhigh Lakes trailhead. Approximately 83 miles, 2:15 from downtown Seattle. A National Park Pass is required.
