Moderate pace. If we have group interest and enough vehicles for car shuttle, we will do a 1-way trip with car shuttle, starting at Cowlitz Divide trailhead and descending the Nickel Creek trail to Box Canyon. Preference to Tacoma scrambles students through Monday 5/26 please. Students attending the Snow 2 field trip 5/31 could camp at Big Creek forest service campground outside the park entrance or Cougar Rock in the park if available. Microspikes may be useful if there is hard snow in the forest.
