Itinerary:

Day 0 (Optional)(Friday August 28th)

 The overnight reservation allows to stay overnight Friday August 28th.  There will be considerations if part of the group wants to hike in Friday morning and do additional exploring.

 Day 1 (Saturday August 29th)

Sol Duc Trailhead to Appleton Junction Campground

4.7 mile,  1842 feet cumulative elevation gain,  730 feet cumulative elevation loss

 Hike to camp, set up camp and get an early rest.

 Day 2 (Sunday August 30th)

Appleton Junction Campground to Mount Appleton Summit to  Appleton Junction Campground  to  Sol Duc Trailhead

11.5 mile,  5385 feet cumulative elevation gain, 4273 feet cumulative elevation loss

Early start with light summit packs.  Summit Mount Appleton (6.8 mile, 3242 ft gain). Rest at camp then break down camp and hike out.
