  • Snow Scramble, Winter Scramble, M2 Mountain 2 Ski
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,200 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 9,589 ft

Longmire at 8:00 am.

Late note as of Thursday afternoon, 6/7:  It looks like poor weather on Saturday will require a change of destination, but probably no change in meeting time or place.

Here are the original leader notes:

Potential snow scrambles are disappearing fast this year as the consistently warm weather melts the snow.  If you are a scramble student who has not yet done a snow scramble, you can contact me and I will register you before sign-up opens.

The pace on the ascent will be on the slow side of moderate.  We'll do a bit of arrest practice on the descent as well as some glissading.
