5:45 AM at Robinson Pass TH #478
S5/T5, ~12 miles and 6500' elevation gain. Jack Stowe will be co-leading this trip with me. Plan for a 12-14 hour day. Must travel efficiently off trail. Car camping at TH or nearby campground recommended. Fair weather will bring a full day of alpine rambling in the Pasayten Wilderness, a class 3 ridge run, and commanding views of the North Cascades and Canada. A damp weather forecast as of Thursday afternoon will relocate this trip to Abernathy Peak 8321' via Scatter Creek TH, S5/T4, 10 miles, 5200' elevation gain, USGS Gilbert.
