1PM, Porcupine Creek Trailhead, Yosemite National Park.
Dates for this climb are somewhat flexible, but we do need a backcountry permit.
If you encounter an error when trying to register for this climb (most likely with ABW veterans who never officially graduated or current students), don't worry...just email me to tell me you'd like to register for this climb. I will check email weekly in the two months leading up to the climb.
Basic plan is to hike-in and make camp near the Lost Arrow Spire notch, beginning in the afternoon on day 1. On day 2, we'll fix our a Tyrolean Traverse anchor, rappel into the notch, and climb two pitches of aid in a spectacular setting. Once on top of the tower, we'll finish rigging for the Tyrolean Traverse. We'll perform a Tyrolean traverse from the top of the tower back to the main wall, break down our set up and hike back to Porcupine Creek Trailhead.
We will split the cost of the backcountry permit(s) among the participants.
Climb will be canceled in the case of forecasted poor weather.
