Lessons Learned from the Front Lines - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

A practical workshop on leadership lessons learned with Seattle Mountain Rescue.

  • Casual

6:30-8:30pm in Goodman A/B

Exploration of the Pacific Northwest and Cascades doesn't come without risk. Join several Field Team members from Seattle Mountain Rescue for an evening reviewing local search and rescue missions, while discussing leadership principles that promote safe and successful operations in the backcountry. The presentation will be an interactive slide show and discussion, with breakout leadership scenario sessions and opportunities for questions from the audience. There will also be time to learn about and talk with members of the organization if you’d like to get involved as a volunteer with Seattle Mountain Rescue.

Seattle Mountain Rescue (SMR) is an all-volunteer organization of seasoned alpinists dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue, and mountain safety education. A full accredited and founding member of the Mountain Rescue Association, SMR specializes in mountainous terrain searches and high angle rescues throughout the Cascades Mountains of Washington.
