Week 1: Nature Detectives

Unplug your K-4 grade (entering) child this summer and let them experience summer the way it used to be – with a great adventure at the Kitsap Forest Theater near Bremerton*. The Mountaineers Players have two exciting weeks of activities planned for your camper – choose either Nature Detectives or Outdoor Adventures  or both, and let them play, explore and create in the forest and creeks at the Kitsap Forest Theater. Activities include art, music, drama, play, hiking and exploring the forest, wildlife and creeks of this unique area.

*For Seattle area campers, a ferry ride will add to the adventure. Choose the transportation activity and drop your camper off at the Seattle Bremerton Ferry dock and we will escort your camper on the ferry and to the camp. Or share carpool duties with friends and spend the day exploring Kitsap County. Cost $140. Register here.

An optional family Friday night dinner, campfire and overnight adds to the adventure. Families can join their camper for dinner or dinner/overnight and explore this beautiful area. It is very special for campers to share their experience with their families and was a highlight for participants of last years’ camps.

 Join us as we explore the natural world through hands-on experimentation, animal visitors, creek walks, and games. Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure for a week of scientific discovery in our amazing forest “laboratory”.

• Kitsap Forest Theater (Bremerton): 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
• Seattle (includes ferry): 8:00 am to 4:00 pm*
• *Seattle Ferry: 8:30 am; Bremerton Ferry: 3:00 pm
