This 3-hour seminar introduces intermediate and advanced level climbers to a variety of useful advanced knots and hitches.

This 3-hour seminar introduces intermediate and advanced level climbers to a

variety of useful advanced knots and hitches, including: one handed clove

hitch and one handed Munter hitch, pre-tensioned Munter hitch; Munter Mule

Overhand (MMOH) tied on both the harness and tied on a belay anchor; use

of an untied cordelette for multi-piece anchors, three piece quad anchor

rigging, bowline on a bight for bolted belay station anchors, Purcell Prussik

and applications, varieties of French Prussik hitches, and rescue spiders.

Pre-requisites: Mountaineers Basic Climbing Course completion within the last

2 years, intermediate course standing or completion.

Cost: None. Donation ($10) recommended to support our climbing walls.

Required Equipment

Gear needed: Cordelette (7mm accessory cord, untied, 6 meter length),

harness, belay device,

HMS carabiner one 24 " length of 6mm accessory cord, one autoblock, one

12 ft length of 6mm accessory cord.

Other (optional) gear: Smart phone or camera to record demonstrations.

Class size is limited to 10.
