Basic Wilderness Skills (BWS) 2017 - Seattle

Learn or refresh your base skills for daypacks, hydration, nutrition and go hiking with fellow course hikers. The two classes cover on gear selection options, , preparing for trail emergencies, conditioning tips, leave no trace, navigation skills, the  essential systems in your pack, safety/travel smarts in the backcountry and planning hikes.  A fun, interactive course to connect with people new to hiking or hiking in the Pacific Northwest.
Course dates:

Saturday 5/13 - Seattle Program Center
 Saturday 6/3 - National Trails/trail workparty (stewardship)
Saturday 6/10 - Navigation workshop/Seattle Program Center
