Review of 2016 BC course content and techniques for instruction at lectures and field trips.

  • Moderate

The Columbian Hall 6:30 to approx 8:30, Tuesday, Feb 9, 2016

Meant as a preparation for Instructors, Leaders and assistants for the new year's Basic Climbing activities, we will review how we would like to teach Ice Ax Arrests, Snow Travel techniques, Belaying fundamentals, Leader tie-off emphasizing Mule knot and extended Rappel.  Some course content and organization will be covered, as well as presentation/discussion of the recent Climbing Summit in Seattle and this year's Priority Climbs schedule for the Branch.  Open to all Climbing Leaders, Instructors and BC grads or 2nd year students wishing to help out and advance their skills.
