Youth Program

Summer Camp - Survivor Week

A fun-filled week of outdoor adventure and wilderness survival skills!

What would you do if you were lost in the woods? Could you find your way home using a map and compass? Could you build a fire and shelter? Would you have the 10 essentials in your pack?

Join The Mountaineers for a week-long Survivor Camp to learn these skills and more! Campers will have the chance to try climbing, hiking, navigation, and basic wilderness survival techniques as well as play camp games, go swimming, and develop outdoor skills.

Campers ages 6-12 are invited to join The Mountaineers for a week packed with traditional camp games, songs and a heavy dose of outdoor adventure. Each week consists of rock climbing, outdoor skills, crafts, and swimming. Additionally, every week has a field trip, special activity, and/or outdoor adventures relating to the given theme.

During Survivor week, the camp will take a field trip to Alderleaf Wilderness College. Alderleaf offers courses on wilderness survival, wild edible & medicinal plants, permaculture, wildlife tracking, and outdoor education in the Pacific Northwest. This epic field trip will have campers learning outdoor skills, building shelters, making fire, hiking, and playing games. Campers ages 6-8 will go on Wednesday and campers 9+ will go on Thursday.
