September 2019

Earlier this month, we invited you to register for our annual Leadership Conference. Starting next week, our Leadership Development Series is back in full swing. Our community has asked us to provide more leadership development opportunities, and we’re excited to continue finding new ways to connect with our volunteers. In this edition of Leader Lines, we also highlight the importance of communication, share information about our annual permits, and launch several new website features.

October 2019

In this edition of LeaderLines, a monthly newsletter written especially for our Mountaineers volunteer leaders, we share a new Leader Spotlight, answer frequently-asked questions about the new feature that lets you track your volunteer hours, and provide an overview of some of our year-end permit processes - along with plenty more! Additionally, if you haven’t yet registered for the Leadership Conference, space is still available! We’re excited to share this year’s line-up of presenters, and we hope that you’re looking forward to a fun day of leadership development and community building.

November 2019

In appreciation of everything our volunteer leaders contribute to The Mountaineers programs, we are excited to celebrate your service at two upcoming events - the Leadership Conference, on December 7, and the annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, on January 25. We hope to see you at one (or both!) of these events, and we look forward to your participation. And as today is Black Friday, we invite you to #OptOutside or even Opt to Act through a day of stewardship. Our community has a long history of choosing adventure, and today should be no exception.

December 2019

In this edition of LeaderLines, we’re excited to share an update on the Vision 2022 strategic plan and two additions to the website that help invest in internal equity. We’re also excited to celebrate you and all of your achievements at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner! With 3,148 volunteers serving a record 13,800 members this past year, there is no shortage of stories and successes to share with one another that evening.
