Basic Photography Workshop: Getting to Know Your Camera

Disappointed by bad images?  Totally mystified by all the controls and menus on your camera?  Then this is the course for you.  We combine both lecture on Basic Photography techniques and camera operation and a hands-on section that will demystify your camera so that you can make better images.  The lecture portion will cover all the basic photography techniques including the secrets to easily improve your images by of using light and composition. 

This workshop includes hands-on practice.

Mobile Photography Course

Smartphone PHOTOGRAPHY Workshop

Street Photography

This is an introductory to intermediate class on the genre known as street photography. It will begin with basic definitions and explore variations based on the work of several current and historic practitioners, discuss common issues and difficulties and offer tips on how to overcome them. The afternoon is usually a field trip to practice what you have learned

Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. Includes lecture and field trips.

Intro to Wildlife PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Wildlife photography is one of the most popular genres of nature photography.  It offers a challenge that requires specialized equipment, skillset, an intimate understanding of your subject, and patience.  This course is designed to get you started on your journey to taking better wildlife images,  starting with equipment considerations and explanations, along with wildlife photography fundamentals and expectations.   We will also discuss basic field craft on locating and successfully capturing high quality photos of animals. The workshop includes at least one field trip.
