In this Zoom workshop you will learn how your everyday food choices can help reduce your carbon footprint and help mitigate and possibly reverse climate change.

We have all heard the recommendations to reduce our carbon footprint by flying less, drive hybrid/electric car, use LEDs etc.  Most people are aware that our dependence on fossil fuel has led to an increase in greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.  What most people are not aware of is the impact that our food choices make on the environment.  According to the EPA, in the USA, food/land use contributes more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere then transportation, industry or just slightly less than the production of electricity.  Your food choices also affect land use, water use, air/water pollution, deforestation and species extinction.

Please join us for this zoom workshop and learn the simple and cost effect strategies that you can try in your own home to lower the carbon footprint of your food choices.

RSVP needed for you to receive Zoom log-in details. If you decide to  participate beyond the cut-off date, then email me to receive details.
