Seattle Basic Photo Course enrollment ends tomorrow

Whether you are a naturalist, a climber or kayaker, taking photos that evoke the beauty of your activity is always a challenge. The Seattle Branch Basic Photography Course can make the effort much less challenging.

But you must enroll now! Registration ends tomorrow, February 21. Designed for beginning and intermediate photographers, four weekly evening classes will guide students through film and digital camera operation, exposure settings, light direction and quality, composition and design.

Optional half-days in classroom workshops on Saturdays will feature "Getting to Know Your Camera," "Introduction to Digital Photography," and "Close-Up Photography," all at no additional cost. The course also provides optional half-day weekend field workshops, which give students hands-on experience relating to the course topics and provide opportunities for individual instruction. The classes are held at The Mountaineers Program Center from 7 to 9 pm, though the doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for coffee, socializing and exhibits.

To top off the fun, a potluck is held on the final Sunday, when students can share their work. A course notebook will be provided.
