Everett Branch to host John Roskelley
Legendary mountaineer John Roskelley will be the speaker at The Mountaineers Everett Branch Awards Banquet to be held at the Medallion Hotel in Arlington on Saturday, November 10.
Roskelley's presentation, "Classic High-Altitude Adventures," will include recollections of his climbs, including first ascents of Great Trango Tower, Gauri Shankar, Cholatse, Uli Biaho, along with challenging new routes on Nanda Devi, Tawoche, and K2. He will also share his experiences climbing with some of the greats, including Reinhold Messner, Willi Unsoeld, Jim Wickwire, and Greg Child. A no-host social hour will begin at 5 pm and the program at 6 pm.
