The Tacoma Branch of The Mountaineers will celebrate its newly renovated Tacoma Program Center, located at 2302 N. 30th St. in Tacoma, on Thursday, September 20. Local dignitaries, Tacoma Branch leaders, officers and Mountaineers staff will kick off the ceremony at 3 pm. The Tacoma Program Center features three classroom/instruction areas and double the space of the original Tacoma Mountaineers Clubhouse, which was completed by volunteers in 1956. The new center's first Third Friday membership event will be held the following day, September 21, beginning at 6:30 pm, another chance to tour the new facility and learn all about The Mountaineers.
