Hosted by the Foothills Branch of The Mountaineers, Robert Chrestensen will present his latest film "Below the Clouds / Rainier Impressions". Follow in the filmmaker's footsteps as he reveals the secrets of Mt. Rainier. "Below the Clouds" is a sensory experience with stunning imagery and an inspiring score by Annastasia Workman. Chrestensen spent four years filming Rainier while hiking and backpacking into less frequented locations capturing awe-inspiring mountainscapes and quiet encounters with wildlife. The film not only portrays the true essence of this unique mountain environment, but also serves as a testimony for wilderness preservation.
Washington Trails Association will also be present to discuss restoration efforts after last year's devastating storms.
