Brought to you by K2 Snowboarding and The Summit at Snoqualmie, the 7th annual Mamafest is a breast cancer prevention and early detection fundraiser. The event includes: a slopestyle competition for skiers and snowboarders; snowboard and ski demos of 2007 and 2008 gear; breast cancer awareness and education booths; live performances by local bands and DJs; a beer garden; a raffle with over $10,000 in prizes, and more.
Last year's event raised $20,000 and organizers are optimistic that they can surpass that number by at least $10,000 this year. Proceeds will directly benefit the University of Washington Cancer Genetics Clinic, Gilda's Club and the Young Survivors Coalition.
