March 13: Conservation's new book club"As-yet-to-be-named" Conservation Book Club
March 13, 7-8:30 p.m.
The Mountaineers Building, Seattle

Yes, we’re still searching for a name. And the competition is hot. Clearly we need help. So, please invoke your powers of imagination for a good cause—the naming of our environmental book club.

The Prize: one Subhankar Banerjee poster from his recent Burke Museum exhibit on Arctic wildlife. Send your titled musings to conservation@mountaineers.org. More importantly, please join the inaugural gathering of the above mentioned and still-to-be-named book club, Tue., March 13, 7-8:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room of The Mountaineers Building in Seattle.

No need to read anything—yet. Bring an inquiring mind and your reading suggestions—anything from natural history to environmental history, from Emerson to E. O. Wilson, from Harper’s to the latest IPCC Report.

If you really want to get a head start, here’s a suggestion: William Cronon, “This Land is Your Land: Turning to Nature in a Time of Crisis,” Audubon, Jan./Feb. 2002, available online
