In the February 15 edition of the Seattle Times' Northwest Weekend section, Sandi Doughton writes about her experiences with the Tacoma Mountaineers. Taking part in that branch's winter camping program, she learns about snow caves, trenches and igloos.
The article has some great photos from the class, as well as information that even the long-time Mountaineers member might find interesting and helpful.
