March 6-8: A Backpacker's Incredible Tale of SurvivalA backpacker's incredible tale of survival
In July of 2003, 140 miles into a 170 mile solo trek in California's Kings Canyon National Park, a hillside crumbled beneath Amy Racina, and she crashed 60 feet onto solid rock, breaking both legs and a hip. She then dragged herself along for three days and nights, until she was miraculously found, and helicoptered to safety, just hours before death. Amy is now on tour promoting her book, "Angels in the Wilderness," which tells the tale of her survival, recovery, and eventual return to the wilderness.

Amy will be presenting her story and book at three area REI stores from March 6 through 8. Be sure to check out what is sure to be a compelling story of survival.
