KCTS launches a new series called Remarkable People on Thursday, February 1, with a profile of Jim Whittaker and his wife Dianne Roberts. In this half-hour documentary by award-winning filmmaker Jean Walkinshaw, viewers meet not only Jim Whittaker (the first American to reach the top of Everest) but his vivacious wife, photographer Dianne Roberts. In this visually rich program, the two candidly share their joys and disappointments, and reflect on major events and personal moments in their lives.
