In June of 2006, Mountaineers member Mindy Roberts led a team of six climbers to the Andes of Bolivia. The team climbed a variety of peaks between 18,000 and 20,000 ft., including Pequeno Alpamayo and Huayna Potosi.
On Wednesday, January 24, at The Mountaineers Building in Seattle, Mindy will present a talk on her experiences with the wonderful people, rich culture and majestic mountains of Bolivia. Pre-Incan ruins, a high-altitude soccer match with village kids, the Gran Poder - an annual all-day, all-night parade through the streets - and challenging climbing opportunities come together to make this a presentation you won't want to miss.
This is a free event, but we are encouraging advanced registration.
