Volunteer Vacation: Peace Trees Vietnam
We wanted to let you know about a non-profit doing excellent work in Vietnam - Peace Trees Vietnam (PTV). For the last ten years, PTV has dedicated itself to helping remove boms and landmines, building schools and libraries and environmental restoration.
Twice a year, PTV takes a group of volunteer "diplomats" to Vietnam to help with these projects. Mixed in with the work are many outdoor adventures, such as rock climbing, mountain biking, jungle trekking, kayaking and waterfall repelling (more fun than it sounds).
