Wildlife and Earth are the subjects of two new environmental lecture series being offered by the Snoqualmie Foothills Branch of The Mountaineers starting in January. The Wildlife series - Jan. 24, Feb. 28 and March 28 - has speakers covering such topics as orcas, mountain lions, bears, salmon, elk/deer and the I-90 wildlife corridor. The Earth series - Jan. 10, Feb. 15 and March 15 (feel free to attend individual sessions) - tackles forests, land conservation, soils and composting, organic gardening, the Taylor Mountain Forest and the Hazel Wolf Wetlands.
All lectures are held at Skyline High School in Sammamish, begin at 6:30 and are open to everyone. The fee for each series is $30; you may attend individual sessions for $12/session.
For more information on the lectures, discounts, registration and contacts, visit the Snoqualmie Foothills Branch website. The Environmental Lecture Series will make a great holiday gift for your friends, family and yourself!
