Lois Suzuki, a member of the Seattle Branch of The Mountaineers, died on September 29 in a helicopter crash as a nurse for Northwest Airlift. She was an active member, and friends with a number of hikers and scramblers.
The Mountaineers is hosting a remembrance on Friday, October 7 and all are welcome to attend. The event is from 7-9 p.m. and will be held in the Olympus Room. Visitors are asked to share their memories, and to bring a small dessert item to share. Questions can be directed to Kelly Cleman, Seattle Hiking Chair, at masterhiker@hotmail.com.
A service for all three members of the helicopter crew will be held Thursday, October 6, at 11 a.m. in a hangar at 7777 Perimeter Road S. at Boeing Field in Seattle.
