A local parenting organization, Great Start, is holding a fundraising silent-auction on October 8. One of the featured items on the block is a private slideshow by Jim Wickwire, first American to summit K2 and author of "Addicted to Danger." Great Starts is celebrating 50 years of community-based childbirth and early parenting preparation classes that have been provided to thousands of families in the Puget Sound region.
