10/28: Naturalist Lecture Series in SeattleA Brief Overview of Western Washington Forest Ecosystems

Lecturer Clay Antieau is a horticulturist, botanist, and environmental scientist who enthusiastically combines these disciplines to offer unique perspectives in environmental... education. As a horticulturist, he has more than 35 years of experience cultivating plants for edible uses and ornament. As a botanist, he specializes in the identification and ecology of Pacific Northwest native plants and their habitats, particularly rare and ornamental species, grasses, and sedges. As an environmental scientist, he specializes in the biology and regulation of Pacific Northwest wetlands and the restoration of Northwest habitats. Clay currently works for Seattle Public Utilities as an environmental specialist and botanist, and lectures and leads tours throughout the Northwest. The lecture is free to Study Group members. The public is welcome. No registration is required, but there will be a $5.00 fee at the door.
