Volunteer to be a Cedar River Naturalist this fall!Volunteer to be a Cedar River Naturalist this fall!

Sign up to be a volunteer naturalist with the Cedar River Salmon Journey, a free public outreach and education program that takes place on the Cedar River every fall. You’ll receive 20 hours of training from fish and watershed experts and then spend 3 weekend days along the river, talking with people about our salmon and water! It’s a wonderful way to learn new things and inspire people to care about the watershed and its fish and wildlife. Contact Charlotte Spang at (206) 245-0143, or email her at charlotte@cedarriver.org, to get an application or find out more information.

Sponsors of the program, now entering its thirteenth year, include the Brown Bear Car Wash, City of Renton, Forum for Lake Washington /Cedar /Sammamish Watershed, King Conservation District, Friends of the Cedar River Watershed, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Public Utilities, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
