New Mountaineers Executive Director Takes HelmNew Executive Director Takes Helm
Martinique Grigg is stepping into the role of Executive Director for The Mountaineers, following an exhaustive nationwide search by the organization. Over her career, she has worked with a variety of outdoor-oriented organizations, most notably L.L. Bean and the Appalachian Mountain Club.
"Being asked to serve as The Mountaineers Executive Director is both an honor and a privilege," said Grigg. "The Mountaineers have a well-deserved reputation as an exemplary pioneer in outdoor recreation, education and conservation...I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to The Mountaineers, and lead it into its second century."
Grigg officially begins Monday, December 7, but will make an appearance at the Banff Film Festival during the week prior to her start. To read more about Martinique, and the executive director search, please read the December Mountaineer magazine.
