Volunteer to be a Cedar River Naturalist this fall!Volunteer to be a Cedar River Naturalist this fall!
Sign up to be a volunteer naturalist with the Cedar River Salmon Journey, a free public outreach and education program that takes place on the Cedar River in October and November. Youll receive 20 hours of training from fish and watershed experts and then spend three weekend days along the river, talking with people about our salmon and water! Its a wonderful way to learn new things and inspire people to care about the watershed and its fish and wildlife. Contact Charlotte Spang at (206) 245-0143, or email her at naturalists@cedarriver.org, to get an application or find out more information.
Sponsors of the program, now entering its twelfth year, include the Brown Bear Car Wash, City of Renton, Forum for Lake Washington /Cedar /Sammamish Watershed, King Conservation District, Friends of the Cedar River Watershed, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Public Utilities, Wal-Mart Foundation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
