In 2007, Mount Everest veterans Peter Athans and Broughton Coburn led an expedition into a previously off-limits region of Nepal, where they discovered a subterranean gallery with priceless 13th-century Buddhist artwork. Athans will share the story of this important discovery, and report on a second expedition by experts determined to conserve and study this historical treasure.
